New infrared (IR) milk analyzer for the dairy industry

Bruker developed the MIRA - a pre-calibrated, high precision IR milk analyzer - for the needs of today’s dairy industry. The system offers a cost-effective way for the quality control of milk, whey, and cream.

The MIRA can analyze important parameters like fat, protein, total solids and lactose in seconds. The high-pressure homogenizer ensures evenly homogenized samples for high repeatability and accuracy. Optionally, the MIRA milk analyzer can also determine the freezing point.

Bruker shows microplastic analysis on Korean television

At the beginning of June Bruker FTIR Microscopes could be seen in "the show with the mouse" a very famous German TV show for kids. The Alfred Wegener Institute presented a child-friendly approach to the investigation of microplastic particles.

The same topic is also stirring up Korea. So it is no wonder that Channel A and their show "I'm healthy" turned to Bruker to point out the dangers of microplastics on national PayTV. Furthermore, our application specialist was able to carry out an analysis with the LUMOS FTIR microscope.

At the 10th international conference on metamaterials, photonic crystals and plasmonics (META), taking place 23rd-26th July 2019 in Lisbon (POR), Bruker will be present with an informative booth. The conference program offers various contributions and expert discussions related to the newest developments within this cutting-edge research field, enabling metamaterials with novel and groundbreaking optical properties. In particular the VERTEX 80v is an established and indispensable tool within this fascinating research area. Due to its uniquely broad spectral range from FIR/THz to VIS/UV and thanks to highest sensitivity and flexibility, the VERTEX 80v is predestinated for the spectroscopic analysis of metamaterials for the world of tomorrow.
